so... last saturday night, the 6th, i believe; one of my best friends, ali, and i went to the backstreet boys never gone tour concert. i found out that fair oaks mall was giving away 4 tickets to the concert last thursday at the information desk if you made $50 worth of purchases at the mall and showed them the reciepts. i was like, cool! free bsb tix! so we got em, and at the nissan pavillion saturday night, ali and i attended the (what we were half expecting to be lame) concert. guess what? IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!! we had a blast! it turned out to be one of the best nights of my life! it was a great concert, even for an ex-pop music addict like me who listens purely to rock now. i used to be THE biggest nsync fan, and went to their no strings attached concert in 2000. and then i thought i had seen a good concert. my god, the bsb's put on a much better concert, i am somewhat sad to say. but nonetheless, ali and i were on our feet the entire time singing along like nobody's business. they mostly played old stuff, which is good, cuz i (since im over my pop music days) didnt get their new cd. (but now i sure as hell am going to right when i get my paycheck!) im a dork, yes, i know this; but i had a great time remembering the old days of pop music, and im only sad i havent done it sooner. my nsync and bsb cd's were starting to collect dust! and i dont think ill ever break back out the britney or christina cds. didnt care for them as much. i was more boy band-sy. *sigh* its kind of sad how now the only two concerts ive been to are boy bands. ah well. at least i enjoyed myself! :D
